| In 1958 at the
age of 10 my father purchased my first boxer. He was a brindle and white dog
of wardrobes breeding. Rex was his name and I took him to obedience classes
where he did quite well. When rex died in1968 my father purchased from
Janice Mair (Glenauld) an eight week old red brindle dog puppy Glenaulds
Galahad. When he was seen at the training classes by John and Margaret McKinlay (Cairn Terrier Breeders) they thought he was a very promising puppy
and should be shown. John and Margaret took us to our first show, Dumfries
championship show. He won best puppy, his sire CH. Delapoer Pied Piper won
the ticket that day and that was the start of the obsession with showing.
In 1970 Michael and I were married and Galahad won the reserve cc
at the Scottish Boxer club championship show. He was not shown much after that.
Michael our eldest son was born that year and Charles our second son was born in
1973. This was the life that Galahad loved -baby sitting. He watched over them
day and night. He was awarded a rosette for bravery by the Scottish boxer club
for saving my life. |

Galahad died on Christmas night at the age of ten. I had seen a dog I thought was fantastic his
name was Alldane Golden Warrior of Trywell a beautiful headed dog and a very
deep red colour. I thought at the time when I buy my first bitch it must be a
daughter of his. Thor as he was called was bred by our dear friends Bill and
Christine Duncan of Alldane boxers. He had two champion brothers, CH. Alldane Golden
Wonder of Trywell and CH. Alldane Golden Topper of Trywell ,and a sister CH. Alldane Golden Joy of Trywell. He never made ch. In front of his name, he won 1 cc 2 reserves. |

Our foundation bitch arrived in the shape of Tartan
Special of Trywell, a red and white daughter of Alldane Golden Warrior she was 6 months old
when we got her. Sue as she was called was never shown much only at local open
shows.
When it came time to breed Sue, we mated her to a young dog
Janice Mair had purchased from Angela Kennett his name was Trywell Thunderflash
of Glenauld. We retained a bitch puppy from this mating. At this time our affix
was Brigadoon so the |

When we repeated the mating we kept a dog and a bitch both red and white Brigadoon Red Rum and Brigadoon Misty Morning. When Red Rum and Misty Morning were six months old they
were entered at their first show the Scottish Boxer Club open show. The late
Barbara Greenway (Rayfos) was the judge. Misty Morning was best minor puppy
bitch, red rum was best minor puppy dog and their older sister tiger moth
went best in show. Tiger Moth when |

Misty Morning never produced a live puppy. At this time we were informed by the kennel club that we could not use the Brigadoon affix. So in 1988 Millue was created and registered with the kennel club. This was the time we were involved with the boys club both sons being very keen on playing football. Millue is an abbreviation of Mill United Boys Club. |

When Red Rum was used at stud we took a brindle and white bitch puppy in lieu of stud fee. Katie became the first Millue registered boxer. Misty daybreak at Millue. Katie was mated to Alldane Dark Storm a son of CH. Snarestone Pinocchio of Tyzack. She produced Millue stormy romance who did quite well in the ring. Millue stormy romance winning best puppy at canine concern. When the time came to mate Sue we used a dog called Manic Midnight Madness of Hillroy. This produced a very nice red brindle bitch we called Millue Addicted to Love. |

About this time we purchased from Bill and Christine Duncan a brindle and white bitch called Alldane dark folly at Millue. Cassie as she was known was a really special bitch everyone who met her adored her. I don’t know how many baby puppies left here and were called Cassie after her. She will always be sadly missed at Millue. When Cassie was mated to Bill and Christine Duncan’s Alldane Mystic Wizard we kept a dog puppy from this mating . He became Millue Man of the Match. |
